Like many coupes with back seats (theoretical or otherwise), my 335xi has very long doors. This BRZ on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and Michelin Pilot Super Sports was parked in an end space hugging the curb, which meant that when I parked in the middle of the space next to it, I was able to open my door ALL. THE. WAY.
It’s very rare to find myself able to open my doors all the way when there’s a car next to mine. I can do it in my garage, and in a space with no car next to me, or in really spacious parking spaces, but that’s it.
They also left a little bit of room in front of their car.
But hey, they understand that front license plates are one of the few things more diabolical than dealer tag frames.

Extremely true fact.

Stickers and plate frames come and go... holes drilled into your bumper last forever.

I paid more than I should have for color-matched plugs for the holes inflicted upon my front bumper by my cars first and/or second owner. Cheaper than having them filled by a body shop though. They kinda sorta look like parking sensors.

Especially true since Subaru makes you drill 5/16" holes into your bumper to attach the picture mount.

I guess you’ll have to park closer to him next time. Those Toyobaru doors aren’t going to ding themselves.
(I feel horrible for making this dark joke, because I hate door dings with a burning passion only the sun surpasses.)

Thankfully we have stick on licence plates as an option.

I love the UK for that.
But still, front plates. Blech.

I’m sure you probably know this but for those that dont, many new cars have little license plate mount thread holes hidden in the front bumper. This includes the 3-series BMWs (It’s actually for tow hooks, but it works really nicely)

Yes this is true but no front plate is the best front plate.

You’re not wrong. Michigan FTW! (Only time Michigan driving is better than being in hell)
